It all feels very real. I have purchased my airplane tickets, there is no backing out now. I can't believe that in just two short months I will be in Romania. This is crazy, what am I thinking?! No, I'm actually really excited for this adventure. I just started my prep class yesterday. Seeing pictures and hearing about what we are going to be doing, makes me all the more excited.
On a different topic, I finished reading The diary of Anne Frank. Most people read this book in school, but for some reason I had not. So here at 22 years of age I decided that I should read it, and I did. It was interesting, and good, and sad. She was a typical fourteen year old, but there were times when she was wise beyond her years. I really enjoyed this book. I am currently reading The Three Musketeers. I am more than half-way done. So far I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it. It starts off a bit slow, but picks up pace. I will let you know what I think about it, when I finish it.
Classes are crazy, and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by how much I have to do before the end of the semester (which is in just six weeks). But other than that, life is good.

Romania!
So, it's official. I have decided to go to Romania! I am super excited, and a bit scared. Ok, maybe a lot scared. I have been thinking and praying about it a lot, and finally decided I am going. Just to share what exactly is going on, I will tell you a bit about the internship. There is a group of ten of us (BYU students) going, eight girls and two guys. We will be leaving around May 9 and coming back around August 2, the dates aren't set yet, but those are the approximate dates. We will be living in a city called Iasi, pronounced "yawsh", which is the second largest city in Romania (the first being the capital, Bucharest). While we are there we will be working in an orphanage and a hospital. This entails providing the children with the attention and care that they do not normally receive day to day (the nurses just go in to give them shots and such). The majority of the children have physical deformities, and many have serious medical and mental conditions. Also they have attachment disorders and are not socially/emotionally developed, because of the lack of human contact they receive. Basically we are there to provide that human contact that they both need and deserve. Because it is an internship, not a study abroad, there will not be any professors coming with us, but there will be a student facilitator (a student who has gone before) and a Romanian woman, who works in the orphanage, who is hired by BYU to kind of help us out with the language and culture. I have already started learning Romanian (it is a romantic language, so my little spanish kind of helps). The internship counts as nine credits, and it will be the "capstone" to my major. So, after the internship I will be able to graduate. I will technically graduate in August, but I am hoping to walk in April (I'm waiting to hear back from my advisor about this). So...that is pretty much it. If you guys have any other questions feel free to ask. I am super excited about it.
Just as a side note, Rosie, Janna and I started a youtube channel together. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/user/AllTogetherSisters
I love you all, and thanks for your comments and your support!

Romania?
Help! I am torn. For those that do not know, I have been accepted to an internship in Romania. I would be working with the children in the orphanages and hospitals. This would be an awesome experience, and I am pretty excited about it. However some family members are not thrilled that I am going to Romania. They have done a lot to convince me not to go, and some of their doubts have crept into my mind. I am not sure anymore if this is what would be best for me. It's true that it would be really difficult to work with the children, the majority of which have serious deformities and such. They say that at least one of the children you work with will die by the time you are done with the internship. That would be pretty hard for me. Also my mom is suggesting all of these vacations we could go on if I don't go to Romania. Like, London or Hawaii. Gosh, mom, way to make this decision even harder. Also Rosie keeps reminding me that I would miss her graduation. And to be completely honest if I had a choice between working in Romania or hanging out with my sisters, I would probably go with my sisters. But, Romania would be an awesome life experience for me. I don't know anymore. I feel like it would be stupid to pass up this opportunity. I'm already accepted, it's all laid out before me. I guess I just have to decide if I am going or not. What do you think?
